|
| Hi;
Dear Sir/Madam.
I am (Sudheer Jayaram), 32 years old, Staying in Bangalore/Karnataka/India - Suffering from symptoms of "IBS" since 6 years as a whole. Diagnosed and confirmed as IBS in the year 2006 by the gastroenterologist (M S Ramaiah Memorial Hospital Medical hospital, Bangalore.). Had under gone Colonoscopy & Endoscopy, results were normal & there were no signs of any particular disease. Mainly I was told that my IBS was due to stress, Anxiety & Depressive disorder (Depression due to some major setbacks in my life. Am planning to consult as psychiatrist, But before that will U be able to advise for what kind of treatment I should be taking to get rid of this symptom.
Symptoms are:
First consistent Diarrhea.
Occasionally constipation.
Mucus in stools.
Bloating, gas, acidity (severe), abdominal pain.
When I'm traveling sever diarrhea occurs no matter what I eat.
Daily am taking english medicine some or the other to control diarrhea, but all in vain. Temporary relief I do get but again the next day symptoms reappear.
1.) Eldoper, Lomotil to control diarrhea.
2.) Rantac, ranitidine, omez, Omeprazole, stelbid, etc. for acidity.
3.) Bael capsules of "The Himalaya Company".
4.) Normaxin was prescribed to me in the starting (After I was diagnosed with IBS). Then later on Stelbid, Meva SR, etc. by the gastro.
By these words, think that I am clear about the symptoms (Disease) am having. Please guide me what to follow and what not to be followed.
Also please do prescribe any medication if avaliable for the symptoms am having.
Thanking you

| Mr. Sudheer, you need to understand that we ourselves are responsible for whatever that happens in our life either directly or indirectly as a consequence of our actions. This is not said to divert you, but indeed so that you may understand that you may be the solution as well to the known/unknown problems in life leading to IBS, which is indeed very true. I suggest you consult a good yoga cum pranayama teacher who could gradually take you out of this health mess. For a general reprieve, please try once-weekly meditation classes to help change your internal atmosphere leading to good health. Tender coconut water in the morning is a wonderful food/medicine that helps in pacifying your condition. Please triphala churna in small quantities of 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon 4-5 times a day along with water. You may regularly eat idlis for 5-6 days a week but at different times like breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Moderate use of curds/yoghurt helps in IBS but too much of it is not good. |
